Easy to use, easy to understand, and smart, great tax support professionals who are worth the sometimes very long wait to speak with
What's great about it: Program is easy to use / troubleshoot, smart live support makes it better
What's not so great: VERY long wait to speak to the great support peronnel
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Tough fixing rejected returns.

I was spruced the returns were returned. I had a very tough time figuring out how to find the line to fix. Would be good to inform clients to go to the forms to find the error. I did not realize there would be a charge to file the state return.
Overall experience was good & I will use again next year.

What's great about it: Fairly easy to follow the directions
What's not so great: Fixing returns hard. Found forms tab then OK.

Very good tax filing

Getting the state tax return was near impossible without using turbo tax. Others complained as well. I had to go on line to a chat location to find out what others did to get the state tax they were looking for. I could not find any help from Turbo tax itself not even a customer care phone number. I suggest that someone in the company actually uses the software before putting on the shelf for sale to the public.
What's great about it: Most items were easy to follow
What's not so great: Poor tax help. Need a phone number to call that's easy to find.

Not so smooth

I thought the first state tax return was free. I had difficulty loading the state return, I had to exit the program and reopen it to get the state to load and once complete I was charged for it. I know I could have waited to file but didn't want to go through the entire process again. This is the first time I have had trouble in the 6 years I have been using Turbo Tax. I will be contacting Turbo Tax to see if I can get a refund, if not I may not feel comfortable using it again. Just saying.......
What's great about it: fed went great
What's not so great: state would not load and when I finally got it to I was charged for it.

I've used TurboTax and it's predecessor MacInTax since the first edition of MacInTax in 1986. The software simply gets better and better each year. It's very simple to use, very accurate, and it's eFiling process is remarkably easy and efficient.
What's great about it: Simple, Accurate, Reliable eFiling
What's not so great: none!
