I have used TurboTax for years, and will for many more.
What's great about it: Easy and intuitive. Confident of the accuracy.
What's not so great: Final checks were surprising.

Great Product

I found this to be a great product and loved using it. I needed a little more information when it came to reciprocating states but the software was vague so I went to the community site. While there, I found the exact question I needed answered posted by someone else almost two months ago- still not answered by anyone...
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Needed more information and the community was lacking
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: Shoud be able to do more than one state and cost of additional states seems high

how do they keep making it easier?

I don't understand how they manage to keep making it easier, when each year I tell myself it's as easy as it can possibly get. As someone who used to do usability research, I know TurboTax is working very hard to make their user experience excellent and I am constantly amazed at what a good job they do.
What's great about it: I could've done this in my sleep - it was that easy
What's not so great: they need to figure out how to get past security questions when accessing mutual fund data

Clumsy software

Simple software design leaves a lot to be desired...navigation is frustrating because of small items such as going to another page and not automatically being taken back to where you were working last.
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate...basic software irritants .

Turbo Tax is great walking you thru each step. My only wish is that it would remember more, the filing method I used for own business, vehicle info, when it was placed in service. It remembers a lot from previous fillings, I would like to see these added.
What's great about it: Walks you thru step by step with support available
What's not so great: I would like for Turbo Tax to remember more of what I did last year.
