I have used turbootax for years and I have always found ti to be the best software for tax prep
What's great about it: Excellent interfaces for tax forms

Been using it for years

I've been using Turbotax for over 20 years, I think even before Inuit bought when it was MacInTax. Never had a problem. I can usually do the whole thing in a weekend, from locating my forms to printing or e-filing -- maybe one extra night if I'm sending by mail. I still dread doing my taxes because I usually come across an ambiguous situation and suspect that I'm paying more than I would if I was a tax lawyer, but I blame the tax code for that. Maybe someday there will actually be political will to do tax simplification that doesn't slam the middle class, but I'm not holding my breath for that. In the meantime, I'll use TurboTax and hope I'm not missing any loopholes.
What's great about it: Easy, accurate, much cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: If you have a complicated situation, you may need a tax advisor

Ease of Filing.

It is really easy to use and pretty much walks you through the return. Only issue I had was finding the area when I finally got all my sons book expenses from college and trying to go back in and find where I could add this. Otherwise it was a piece of cake.
What's great about it: Don't have to know everything there is about taxes.
What's not so great: Little difficult to find specific areas when needing to add or make a correction to deductions.

Got'er Done

I am very disorganized. The software helped me make sure that I took advantage of all the deductions for which I was eligible. I answered no to a lot of the questions, but that made me feel that I did not miss any credits or deductions.
What's great about it: I liked how the software walked me through all the forms. Info saved from last year made this year even easier.
What's not so great: There was no ice cream.

Step by Step easy

Approaching retirement means lots of changes in one's financial picture. Turbo Tax made this transition of so much new information just as easy as could be.
We have used paid preparers in the past that gave us more stress than Turbo Tax did.
The step by step is so easy to follow and the fact that it reviews and flags any possible error (we humans make them) is such a relief, not to mention time saver.
What's great about it: Imports necessary information
What's not so great: having to prepare taxes in any form
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Quick and Easy

For some reason our information from last year was not accessible so we had to re-enter everything but other than that the program is awesome-so easy to use!
