Only problem was MA return required a note because I could not select which box on the W-2 the Non Resident Smart Worksheet would take the income value from.
What's great about it: Easy and clear
What's not so great: see below

The main issue I had was I could not file the Gift Tax Form 709 using Turbo Tax. I understand it is not pa\rt of the 1040 tax filing but it is related and it would be more convenient to get the benefit of the easy to use Turbo Tax method to complete.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: no major issues
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Excellent simplification means of the convoluted US tax system! Challenge is to tweak a bit more simplification out for the average American!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Experience with Turbo Tax

Great product. I have used for over 6 years, and there is no easier way to file accurate taxes for the biggest refund. I used Accountants prior to Turbo Tax, and they were over priced for doing the same thing that Turbo Tax allows me to do.
What's great about it: Easy to use and Organized
What's not so great: None

Burn to CD Function Missing in 2012 version
on April 13, 2013

I save all my past tax forms along with the application on a CD using the Burn to CD function. For some reason, TurboTax chose to eliminate this function this year. Please bring it back.
What's great about it: Loved the ability to download info from financial institutions
What's not so great: Really need the Burn to CD function

TurboTax Review

While preparing tax returns for my college student son, I encountered two difficulties. 1. When I recognized that I forgot to enter tips undeclared to his employer, I could not find a step by step place to update that data. So I went to forms and tried to enter it on Form 4137 but that form would not accept entries. 2. During error review, his donation to a state voluntary charity fund was indicated as too small. We tried to eliminate it in the review pages but it continue to show as too small. We then returned to the step by step procedure and removed the donation. However, the progam continued to indicate an error during subsequent error reviews. Eventually I just clicked on the continue button in the error review page and the removal of the donation was recognized at that point.
What's great about it: Easy to use step by step procedure
What's not so great: forms did not interface seemlessly with step by step
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall it was a good experience especially because tax laws have become so confusing
What's great about it: Prompts me to answer questions
What's not so great: Some items talked about are confusing and should have a simplified explanation
