Complicated issue handled well

What's great about it: Easy to sue

2012 Turbo Tax Experience

I've used TT for years and wouldn't use anything else. This years tax forms had changes due to Obamacare. These changes created questions that required additional effort I felt was unnecessary. In two cases instructions said to place a zero in a blank. In the first case for my MO return that act created problems that took over an hour to solve. In the second situation, the zero in the blank created the need for a correction in the final run-through before e-filing.
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: A few confusing parts

Turbo Tax 2013 Likes and Dislikes

Even though that one feature did not work properly, the program over all is great. Although the process went slower than expected by having to manually visit each topic individually, the forms were still completed quickly and easily. For anyone who has a fear of taxes and tax preparation, Turbo Tax can ease the panic as they take you through each section of the tax return one step at a time. For the price, expert guidance, and simple easy to follow guidelines, Turbo Tax is by far the best way to take care of the once a year dreaded tax time blues.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, automated update, quick processing of info.
What's not so great: The "Visit All" feature did not actually visit all topics automatically.

Simple and easy

Turbotax is a great product. Simple and easy to use. Straightforward questions. If you've used it in the past on the same computer, it saves pertinent information from the previous year. Only downside is that after already paying a good amount for the deluxe version, I would have to pay extra to file my state. Guess I need to dust off that printer!

What's not so great: State return costs extra

Great, except for state filing

Everything was great, until state e-file. At the last step, got a message that signature didn't match federal (it did). Tried to find answers in forum, finally got the clue to delete and re-add personal worksheets (without middle initial or suffix), did that, and it worked. Cost me an extra two hours at the end of the process. This problem was identified more than two months ago, but wasn't corrected, still required manual workaround.
What's great about it: easy to use, comprehensive
What's not so great: state e-file had problems

I Love Turbo Tax

This product is very easy to use. I have used it for at least the last 5 years if not more. It transfers your data from the prior year to compare to the current year. The step by step is so easy to do and you don't miss anything. It has been great and has saved me many of hours.
What's great about it: easy to use
