I have been using Turbo Tax for around ten years. I feel it is the single most useful tax software package available. If I have a question regarding taxes or tax forms I can always find the answer within TurboTax.

First true experience

This was my first time actually completing the entire form myself. I have no experience with taxes but found this program to be extremely comfortable to use. The easy set by step assistance and highlights when something is in error was great. I am a older individual that needs visual stimulates and found this very easy to follow.This system saved my a lot of money and time thank you!!!
What's great about it: step by step detail for completion and easy to use links for needed information.
What's not so great: I loved this program it was very easy to use. Taxes for dummies. Thank you

Don't do taxes without it.

Been using T-Tax since the beginning. For the most part it keeps getting better. Only knock is, there used to be a summary screen where you could easily do what-if changes. For example, you could change IRA amounts and immediately see the effect. I missed that, or couldn't find it, this year.
What's great about it: The step-by-step process ensures one touches all the bases.
What's not so great: Needs an easy what-if process to analyze IRA's etc.

Good product!

I have used TT for over 10 years and will use it again next year. I love how it transfers info from year to year for those situations that involve carryovers. More pluses are the Two-Year Comparision and Tax History Reports. Two-Year Comparison is detailed for current and last year. Tax History is summary of the last 5 years which is very interesting to see at-a-glance how my life has changed. One thing I noticed is the lack Declaration Number with my Federal return. And my state (Indiana) Submission ID also did not print. I hope I am not audited and need to provide this info some time in the future. I HIGHLY recommend this software and will continue to use it. Thank you, TT, for including the Fed ELF and one state in your price...big bonus!
What's great about it: Consistency of form and screen layout from year to year.
What's not so great: Required to scroll to bottom of every screen to proceed. Prefer additional option at top of screen also.

Easy and Painless

I have used TurboTax for many years and I keep coming back because I feel that it is more user friendly than it's competitors.
What's great about it: I like that it takes you step by step and give your resources to explain if you don't understand what the IRS wants from
What's not so great: I've been using this for years and I really can't think of anything I don't like otherwise I wouldn't be using TurboTax

Great for students that pay their own way!

Overall I love Turbotax software. Its cheaper than taking my taxes some place to get them done and I get more back than when I do that. I pay my own way for everything including college and Turbotax helped me get back a lot of money which is always nice. I recommend this software whenever someone asks what they should do about their taxes and I work at Wal-Mart so I get asked around this time of year almost every day.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Paying for state tax return

What's great about it: well configured program, easy to follow steps, great ckecking of return for errors

I have been using Turbo Tax for many, many years now and I have always been pleased with the results. Answer a few questions, enter some data (or have TT get it for you), review what you've entered, and submit - electronically. Nothing could be easier.
What's great about it: Easy to use, precise, like sitting down with a pro
What's not so great: Nothing!
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
