Turbo tax is so easy to use. I wish there was an online site where all of my info could have rolled up into this years. Other than that it's fantastic!
What's great about it: step by step... taxes for dummies....
What's not so great: couldn't get my info from last year rolled over. I used a different computer.

TurboTax is awesome

The way it walks you through each step in the preparation, makes it easy to use. Since it makes all the calculations, you don't have to worry about making any dumb math mistakes. Turns preparing your income tax returns from something horible, like going to a dentist, to a task that is easy and if you are getting a refund, enjoyable.
What's great about it: It is very easy to use. Makes filing a simple task that does not take a rocket scientist to do.

Once again my taxes are finished thanks to Turbo Tax. This is an excellent program with quality support.
What's great about it: Transfers information from previous year, easy to use step by step guidlines.
What's not so great: Cost to send state taxes.

The only problem that I had was when I went to claim my deduction for the local animal shelter the choses where limited. I always donate food or cat litter and that was not an option.
All in all it is a great progam.

2012 Taxes

When inputting data into medical deductions for Long Term Care insurance the final numbers did not add up. Took a little bit of a search to find the actual form. Once I found the form it turned out there was a cap, which explained the delta in the numbers. When inputing the numbers a flag on the cap may have been helpful. Other than that it was easy as always.
What's great about it: Easy to use and a nice flow thru the process
What's not so great: At times the process of accessing the actual forms you are inputting into is not as straightforward as it could be.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Inferior to last year

Did not import 1 of 2 W2 forms. Did not import any of last year's charitable donation info. Asked many useless questions that did not save us any money. Far inferior to last year's product.

Easy and Efficient

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and always find it easy to use and understand. I like the automatic update procedure which ensures that I always have the necessary forms. Also like to see how I am doing as I go along, i.e., bar on top of screen shows what I owe or amount of refund.
What's great about it: User friendly. Easy to understand
What's not so great: Sometimes slow loading.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
