Be sure its right!

I will always use TurboTax. It's so easy to use and simple folks can understand it. I've done it the last 4 years and I can't see doing it any other way. I recommend it to all my friends and I sometime talk about how it's fun to do when you have all your information ready to plug in and file.
What's great about it: I love that it goes over all the information. RECHECK!
What's not so great: Need more direction when looking for specific information.

I've been using it year after year

The software asks questions and this makes doing taxes easier. However, if you rent part of you home, it deals with property taxes in a confusing way, very easy to double up property taxes, which would be incorrect. Also, treats code W in box 12 of W-2 as employer paid HSA only, making it taxable. Code W in box 12 of the W-2 includes employee deductions as well.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Some ambiguity..

Such a Relief

I have been using Turbo Tax for a few years and I really like it. The program is up to date with the latest deductions- ones I would not know about otherwise. The program provides easy to read and understand information on all the topics as well as references the IRS publications for your reassurance. Iused to spend hours upon hours doing my taxes the old way. Now I get everything together (they even guide you to what you might need) and then work through the program in much less time! I can save it and start right back up where I left off. I can electronically store a copy besides a paper copy. It is a huge help and i would not do my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: Answer the questions, they plug it in & do the math!

Fast and Easy

Love the product, I did try other tax software and found them to be complicated. Perhaps the only little annoyance is about insisting on filing State taxes in states that don't have States Taxes like TN.
What's great about it: Love the walk you through sections, quick, easy to enter the info ation even for somebody that doesn't know much .
What's not so great: None really

Been using TurboTax for many years, and the experience was very good. So easy to prepare the return by simplying following the guide even without any deep knowldege on the tax laws or others. Also, timly update on the changes is much appreciated and efficient.

Completely worth it

Doing taxes annually is just part of life in the US. There's no escaping certain work you yourself have to do: If you use a tax accountant, you still have to gather and organize all your own information and receipts and forms; if you use TurboTax, you have still to gather and organize all your own information and receipts and forms.
The difference and advantage to TurboTax then? Price, convenience, and efficiency. You don't have to schedule an appointment; you need only purchase your copy of TurboTax and install it on your computer. Then you do as much or as little of TurboTax at a time as you have the time and patience for (up until mid-April of course). If you have a little time, you can put in information for just a few forms at a time; if you have a lot of time, you can input all the information you have. Either way, it's on your time schedule, not an appointment or subsequent appointment you've made working with someone else's schedule. Any tax professional other than family or friend would have to charge more than the cost of TurboTax to do pretty much anyone's taxes. And you can rely on numbers being calculated accurately so long as you have typed them in correctly.
TurboTax fits into my lifestyle and my work pattern for less than a tax professional would charge, and so long as you put all the essential tax forms into an envelope or folder to pull out when needed to insert into the program, TurboTax will work for you, too.
What's great about it: transfers last year's info onto this year's; handles all the calculations
What's not so great: you still have to gather and organize all your own information

The dreaded accomplished

I was able to get every detail I wanted added to my return.
the questions are consistent, and flows very well.
It's like you have someone asking you simple questions to complete the impossible.
If you stumble, just hit the help or detail and continue after that.

What's not so great: no cons, but taxes aren't fun
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Easiests way to file a return.

I have been using TurboTax for several years and have had no problems using it. It is easy and quick to use. It has reminders to help you make sure you are putting the right information into the right spots. I especially like the navigation format it uses.
What's great about it: TurboTax is easy and quick to use. It walks you through step by step and keeps you on track to getting the best refund.
What's not so great: I have found no real cons to using TurboTax.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
