Deductions this year were great!

Overall, the software is user friendly to the point that I did not need to use the accountants. I hope, cross my fingers, no, I know that everything is accurate. Thanks Intuit!!!
What's great about it: The guidelines were very clearly explained.
What's not so great: Some important buttons are hidden (?)...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is the first time we have filed our taxes ourselves and through turbo tax; it was self explanatory. If we had questions there was a link to click to help answer the question and also help provided. Thank you!

Easy April 15th Every Year!

I've been using Turbo Tax for over a decade and each year it has always been a seamless event, including this past 2012 filing year. I love how I can be lazy and just follow the Easy Guide or I can go directly to any portion of my return and manually edit the forms. The inline help is "helpful" and so fast that I find myself clicking on more information even if it isn't applicable to my return. The entire program is as if a tax professional is walking me completely through my return, but on my schedule and drinking my coffee. I love, love this program. Turbo Tax has never given me a reason to try any of the other tax software programs available. If it's not broke...
What's great about it: Quick, easy, done
What's not so great: Haven't come across any in over 10 years

I love this program!!! Once I reached a real person, she was very patient and understanding. She took her time helping me conduct a thorough review of my taxes. I will keeping using TurboTax from this point forward.
What's great about it: Low cost and very detailed, well worth every cent!!

Turbo Tax Is a Breeze

I have used Turbo Tax for many many years and it always works great. The updates to the software are fast and I love being able to be walked through all the steps or jumping to a certain form to make corrections.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything
What's not so great: None

Clear and Simple

I tried another highly rated online software last year and was satisfied with the Federal portion; however, the state portion autopopulated information in two conflicting areas resulting in a bogus refund. Unable to resolve; filed and the state corrected and sent the correct amout. I've never encountered that difficulty with TurboTax which I have used many times in the past. I can review the worksheets and check how the information was used in greater detail after using the guided input. It is easier to track and see how everything is calculated and its impact. When I do my parent's taxes, I can determine easily if I need to use itemized deductions or if the standard deduction will be sufficient.
What's great about it: Concise, easy to return to if you need to stop and look for additional information before proceeding
What's not so great: Not clear why some details available on worksheets are not required in guided process

Overall good, however it is too simplistic for a person who knows much about the tax return. I could not figure out from the program if my wife's Ford retirement payments are taxable or not.
What's great about it: The program walks through the return
What's not so great: I did not liked that the program kept asking to get updates even though I just updated. It seemed like a waste of time.
