Love this program!!

My brother has been using TurboTax for two years now and he finally talked me into gettin it myself instead of doing it manually like I have in the past. I didn't regret buying it. TurboTax actually found 58 more bucks on my federal return that I would not have gotten if I did it manually. Thats money in my pocket.
What's great about it: Super easy to use for the 1st timers which was me this year!!
What's not so great: None. The program is great!!

More problems than previous

Had to back up & go thru several times before it went thru proper path, i.e. self employed data.
If I hadn't used it before & knew what to expect I may have had serious problems.
There was another similar situation but I don't recall specifics.
Otherwise, I still like it. Nothing to compare to but I like it pulling in last year's data & completing about 98% of the state return for you.

Tax Help Gave Incorrect Answer to Question

No link or phone# on program for tax help as indicated on box. Needed to go through program help to get to tax help. If tax help was a certified accountant or tax specialists as advertised then they should have had the correct answer or known where to go to get it. Additional research with the IRS was required to complete taxes.
What's not so great: Difficult to get tax help and when received answer was incorrect

Love the Ease

Excellent software program. I have used this for years now!!
What's great about it: The walk through in every section making sure you do not miss information for deductions
What's not so great: Today was having trouble with printing. It seems you assume everyone will want to file electronically.

Turbo Tax Rocks!

As a former tax preparer, I did my own by hand to compare with the Turbo Tax results - absolutely no problems. And, of course, Turbo Tax was way faster.
Both my sons used it, and even with no previous experience in preparing tax returns, found it very, very user-friendly.
What's great about it: quick, easy, comprehensive

A great help in politically complicated rules.

My Quicken data file contains multiple years of data. When TurboTax imports charity or donations data from Quicken, it imports for all years as well as the tax year being prepared which requires extensive editing and deleting.
What's great about it: The ability to import from Quicken
What's not so great: Imports too much unneeded data.

2013 Turbo

Love Turbo Tax. Quick, efficient, and easy to do myself. I especially like that if includes filing data for City taxes. Tried to save a buck last year and had a heck of a time filing city taxes as it wasn't included in the tax software program that I went with. So koodoos to Turbo Tax. Thanks for simplifing my life. :)
What's great about it: Absolutely wonderful. Completed return in less than an hour including City taxes
