Consistently Decent

Overall the product is good. I don't know what I don't know so if I could have received a better refund somewhere else I'll never know. However, I've done my own taxes in the past as well as had professionals do them and I believe TurboTax does the job properly for me.
Cons: A couple of the questions were kind of vague so I had to reread it and make an assumption before I answered. Not that big of a deal but it cost me a few minutes for sure to reread the question and pay closer attention so I wasn't going down the wrong road.
Pros: The questions asked and scope of questions seemed to capture all of my possible deductions.
Improvement Idea: Reminders throughout the year to keep receipts for home energy projects, hobby deductions (whatever those may be), expenses for career and so on. I found myself saying "I wish I would have known that was a deduction so I would have kept the receipts handy".

Have used Turbo Tax for about 10 years. I wouldn't do it any other way.

What's great about it: moves prior years info to current year and compares
What's not so great: Don't like to pay for state e-filing (I mailed mine)

Easy to use!

Nice and easy to use. Everything from old tax programs imports into your new forms like clockwork. I love the ability to import info from bank and investment companies direct into the program. We lost one of our 1099 forms, but it was not a problem. We just downloaded it straight into turbo tax from the company's servers. Win!
What's great about it: They walk you through everything step by step... even my dad's complicated rollover of his 403b to a traditional IRA
What's not so great: There could have been better details when you clicked on explain this sometimes it was clear other time it was no help

I have been using TurboTax for years and will continue to do so. It is thorough, well thought out and easy to use. Even years when I have a complicated return, it guides me step-by-step to a completed return in just a few hours.
What's great about it: Through & easy to use
What's not so great: Took some trouble shooting to load
