Excellent software

I have used TurboTax for a number of years. In 2010 I switched to H&R Block's Tax Cut and regretted the move. I switched back for my 2011 and 2012 personal returns.
I found that the 2012 TurboTax was improved than past years. The flow of the return preparation was more fluid; it was easier to follow.
The references had excellent examples. There was one bad link to the IRS website. But the referred publication number was listed in TurboTax; I simply went directly to the IRS site to gain access to the publication.
One nice feature that TurboTax alerted to me this year was the tax impact to another member of my family when working with the education credits.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, directions are clear, good examples
What's not so great: One of the referred IRS publications was to the wrong link

Deductions regarding a 2nd home purchase

I purchased a 2nd home and looked for the proper deductions: interest. points. mortgage payments, etc.
Your home deductions were not clear regarding a 2nd home deduction. I couldn't find deductions regarding Owner's Title Insurance, Transfer Taxes, Survey Fee, Recording Fee, etc. These were all fees that I paid in order to get the mortgage and the house.
Are they not deductible?

state tax malfunction

the federal tax section functioned properly but the state tax function cost me two hours of chat with somebody from india only to tell me the he had to connect me with a more tech savy person . i believe more product testing should the plan of the day
What's great about it: federal tax worked correctly
What's not so great: the state tax function failed to launch properly a patch for this malfunction should have been included with in download
