Overall this program is excellent

I have used turbo tax for at least the last 25 years and it has gotten better each year. For this reason I always come back to it; however I was disappointed to see a processing fee this year. I don't recall ever seeing it before and think that after paying for the program and supposedly getting free federal e-file, it's kind of a bait and switch. I'm certain I can get them done for me for about the same price.
What's great about it: always easy to use
What's not so great: new processing fee

incremental improvements

We almost abandoned TurboTax for good after the horrible experiences we had in 2010 and 2011 trying to file as a married same-gender couple.
TT lured us in with a promise that the software would handle community property allocations, then abruptly deleted the promise from the website after we had bought the product, then advised us all to file an extension, then provided a half-arsed product that was barely better than a spreadsheet and extremely confusing.
We used TT in 2011 only because we got a free copy, and it was basically the same as 2010 only worse, preventing us from e-filing our state married return for no valid reason (why the heck did we pay for state e-filing if we can't e-file our simple married state return?).
We took the plunge for 2012, however, and are pleased to see some improvements. This year we could e-file our state return (duh!), and the community property adjustments are divided by category. It's still a bit clunky and hidden in an obscure corner of the software that I had to bookmark or I'd never find it again.
We may never have to do this again once DOMA is ruled unconstitutional in 2013 but if we do, we'll consider buying TurboTax again despite what they put us through in years past.
What's great about it: a bit less friction
What's not so great: still some interface confusion

It was quick, easy to file, and it appears I have gotten the maximum refund/payment possible. Works great and helps those of us who aren't tax pros.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, Dependable
What's not so great: Can be a bit confusing when trying to go back through a second time without the automatic prompts popping up
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
