The best ever!

Over the years I have recommended Turbo Tax to many people. This year's edition was even easier and I will continue to spread the word.
What's great about it: This year's software was easier and faster to work with.
What's not so great: None.

It's a great product and got me through some deductions I never thought about.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax makes doing taxes easier than by hand. It transfers similar data from the previous year which means no hunting for paper copies. I like that it shows me how much I owe as I work through the taxes. Submission is easy.
What's great about it: submit it electronically
What's not so great: Could be a little easier to go to forms from the page you are on

Best year ever

I typically have a standard type of return, but this year I had some complicated gains/losses and TT handled it with ease.
My only Con - it did not revisit the state return (print or efile) when I did not select it when I efiled the Federal return. Seems like an easy thing to do, especially since the software told me not to efile due to my state tax situation.
What's great about it: 2012 software was the easiest and most complete version I've used in years.
What's not so great: It didn't specifically ask me to revisit a State return when I didn't eFile it

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years and this was the first time i did not have to constantly check for updates! The update was done after I installed the 2012 eidition, and no future updates were required.
I also thought the flow was alot smoother, you didn't have to go back and forth to enter your information. Over all I enjoyed the experience this year. Did not care for the end result but who likes to pay for other peoples so called tax refund. They should rename it handout, you can only be refunded up to the amount you paid in!

The step by step process walks you through the entire income tax process. As long as you have all your paper work in order with the forms ready, it was really smooth.
What's great about it: It was nice to have guidance through the entire process.
What's not so great: Going ahead to find out you have to pay extra, then backing up to change course.

Definitions of certain items like depreciation values could be explained better.

What's not so great: some of the items were not explained very well. Not in terms that could be understood completely.
