Great Product - Devoted User

What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Had trouble downloading the updates.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

For 20111 I had entered Social security pension of $27500.
After some back and forth in turbotax. the amount became 25. The error check did not pick up pension of just $27.
I went to a tax man and had it corrected

Death and Taxes - Now there's an answer for taxes

In the past I've done by hand, used a professional and tried other programs . I have used used TurboTax 10 of the last 12 years (should have been all 12 ) .
You can complete forms on your own but the program lead questioning helps avoid missing items that can reduce taxes and avoid an audit.
TurboTax makes completing tax returns simple. It explains details well. Sharing data automatically between fed and 2 states sure makes completing forms easier.
Once I've entered everything, the program really does its work - it checks everything again. Ensures I have entered all data and no more stupid mistakes.
I've only had one problem in 10 years and that was because the information provided by a financial institution was incomplete. What TurboTax had was 100% right!
I don't like tax time but TurboTax makes dealing with it easy.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. Only had one bad year and that was last year. I was to discouraged because I still with folks. Yes it cost me be I have confidence that all will be ok. Will be back next year as well.
What's great about it: Down where the rubber meets the road.
What's not so great: Could not find any thing wrong. Easy to follow.

Years using Turbo Tax

I am a bookkeeper but I am not strong about doing all the tax forms without concern of putting the wrong or not enough information in the right places. I find using Turbo Tax makes my life so much easier and less worrisome to get the job done. It's also wonderful that it reviews the best possible method of deduction to get the best benefit. Once I'm done, I sigh with relief.

Sometimes a pain

You want a review and then make it difficult. Why can't my "nickname" be 3 characters. Why can't I use a nickname I want, so what if it is a duplicate. Product is ok, but sometimes difficult to use and unbending.
What's great about it: Does calculations
What's not so great: Can't adjust when broker info is given and Turbotax doesn't like where it should go.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I love TurboTax and have been using it for years. However, this year left me very frustrated. I moved to a new state, and I could not figure out how to correctly divide my income between the two states. (Actually, I know what my income for each state was, but TurboTax would not let me correct it in their system.)
What's great about it: Easy to follow prompts
What's not so great: State returns were confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
