Eased My Pain

It is a simple program to use. It guides you along as you are completing the forms and is very user friendly. It helped me maximize my benefits so I did not have to pay as much as I had thought I would have to.
What's great about it: It is very easy to follow allong. It asks easy yes and no questions if something applies to your taxing situation.
What's not so great: There was not anything that struck me as con when using the program
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Chat improvement

The chat function was great but it would be better if there was a sound notification (a chime, beep, etc..) when the status was updated or when the agent arrives in the chat room. My wait was 50+ min. and I was doing other things on the computer and I kept having to constantly check the update so I didn't miss the agent. If there was a sound that wouldn't have been necessary.
What's great about it: Nice to be able to talk to a professional

Easiest Return Filed

I was nervous at first but all nerves set aside once I started. Easy to do, loved it. Turbotax walks you thru step by step. For the first time ever, I am looking forward to filing my returns next year!

Fixing mistakes on entries

I found it very difficult to fix selection errors will f\doing my taxes. If I incorrectly checked a box, it was almost impossible to get TurboTax to forget about it. This was especially difficult for the Michigan property tax credit. I mistakenly check homeowner instead of renter for a tax return I was doing. TurboTax did not want to uncheck the homeowner box and kept giving me an error during review. It was very frustrating.

Easy-Peasy Tax Return

Again, Turbo Tax is just great! Got me max dollars back, only took an hour or so.

Improved Walkthrough

I've used TurboTax for a number of years now and I thought that the walkthrough was greatly improved this year. Also, everything seemed easier and more streamlined than in the past as I was able to finish more quickly than in the past. One thing I wasted time on was Tax Prep costs, only to learn after I'd gotten my costs together that I needn't have bothered as you need to spend over $800 for it to make a difference--you might want to note that up front instead of after the fact.
