Have used Turbo Tax for years and it pays for itself over and over again. User friendly and very much worth the time and effort to file one's own individual taxes.

Turbo Tax 2012

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 12 years (or more as much as I can recall). Always admired the preparation process. As the tax laws are much easier in the years past, Turbo Tax was also easier. Recently, the complexity of the tax laws and uncertainty is driving the Turbo Tax experience harder and difficult. Thank you for keeping in all these years. In future, perhaps, Turbo Tax can adopt to easier part of data entry (as oppose to asking redundant questions) providing forms to enter for simple data such as W2s and 1099s and etc. Also, it could be helpful if we see all the needed data as an excel form of input. The best program as a tax tool ever in my opinion.
What's great about it: A great program with ease fr any one to work with
What's not so great: Some areas are slow and the question format can be much easier

Easy Money

My taxes are pretty straight forward and easy to do. Turbo Tax makes the process simple. I especially like the interview process to insure I thought of everything

for the most part, pretty good

Just because I had extra income on a schedule C more than 5 years ago, the form questions kept popping up, even though I had said the "company" was no longer in business. And then, it came up that my husband needed a schedule C in the review stage, when he never had extra income in that way. It took a lot of guess work to get it to drop the need to fill in slots that would never apply. There should be some way to say that there was no longer a need for that form and have it stick.
What's great about it: organized well
What's not so great: would like to see the forms as they are being filled out

COULD USE A BETTER EXPLANATION OF WHEN ONE TURN'S 65 AND HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT MONTH TO START REPORTING AS MEDICARE OR HIGH DEDUCTIBLE- WAS NOT CLEAR AND SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON IT ONLY TO FIND I HAD OVER CONTRIBUTED THROUGH MY EMPLOYER (AMOUNT WHICH THEY HAD SUGGESTED). FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT BY ASKING TURBO COMMUNITY AND CALLING FINANCIAL INSTITUTION WHERE ACCOUNT IS HELD....
What's great about it: EASY TO NAVIGATE
What's not so great: HUNG UP ON HSA AND QUALIFYING FOR MEDICARE THIS YEAR
