Long hard road but worth the money

I'm a student who worked as an intern over the summer. My job required me to locate to Tennessee which doesn't take out wage taxes like my home state (Georgia). While troublesome at first, I put forth a little effort and called the expert. She was extremely helpful and helped me get everything worked out. Overall it was as painless an experience as possible when dealing with taxes at home.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions; great over the phone help;

Easy Entry

The step-by-step walkthrough is very complete and will not miss anything (includes uncommon situations, but says so up front so you can skip or look at more detail to make sure).
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step data entry
What's not so great: High recurring cost to buy every year - wait for sale in April

TurboTax is Thorough

I switched to TurboTax three years ago from a similar product. This year I didn't also purchase J K Lasser's big book as I felt confident in the answers available from this product. I'm sure I will keep using TurboTax from now on.
What's great about it: TurboTax does not let you skip anything
What's not so great: It still takes a while

So Easy!

This is the fifth time I have used Turbo Tax to file my taxes. As usual i found the process to be simple to use and yet detailed enough for even me to figure out!
My friends all pay an accountant to do their taxes. I feel confident that Turbo Tax is just as thorough and accurate as a CPA. And I understand it!

What's great about it: Detailed yet simple step by step instructions given.
What's not so great: Had trouble with some of the forms. I didn't have some forms.

Thank goodness for TurboTax

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 12 years now and has made tax preparation much easier, and a whole lot cheaper than using an accountant. I no longer dread tax time ... and I believe that Turbo Tax has found me more deductions than my accountant ever did. Perhaps that is because I wasn't "on the clock" and in a hurry to get the job done. :-)
What's great about it: Easy Guides make it easy to organize and enter data
What's not so great: Paying taxes

Takes the Stress out

I am a paralegal and provide information to CPA's for client tax returns. My job can be overwhelming during tax season. When it comes to preparing my own tax returns, I use Turbo Tax. I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and found it is a "no brainer" at tax time. Turbo Tax is extremely user friendly, asks me questions like did I receive a certain form, or do I have an ongoing business. This format of questions makes it easy to prepare my returns. Turbo Tax has found deductions I did not know existed. I used to prepare my taxes by hand by reading through the instructions and doing my own calculations. It is my intention to never have to do that again. Turbo Tax helps take the stress out of tax time for me. I think it is a great program.
What's great about it: Easy for non professionals tax preparer, asked all the questions, had all the answers, good customer support
What's not so great: Did not advise me it was less expensive through the website, could save about $20

Quick and (mostly) easy

The 2012 version seemed to be easier to use than the 2011 version. I wish it had the capability to look forward to see what is coming up, this could avoid some backtracking because info was entered in the wrong area. Overall the program is easy to use and asks relevent questions in a clearly understandable manner.
What's great about it: asked all the right questions
What's not so great: a bit confusing in places
