Turbo Tax is the best for me. i'm been using this for three years in a row. Everything were okay, i used some other software i had a couple of issues regarding some question on IRS forms i couldn't pull out in their online links. Turbo Tax is best for me no doubt.
What's great about it: very user friendly. easy.....
What's not so great: so far, none in my case!

I've used TTax for years. Had a little problem this year with partial year proportioning of Rental Property Tax and Mtg Interest for the three months that personal residence was converted to Rental property. Instructions were a little confusing so I had to apply the correct amounts in the appropriate places rather that entering the 1099 info as directed. Also had a problem with the 1099R Health Ins Premium not rounding up on the Worksheet. Had to manually correct it for total $2 correction. And, made some error clicks and when went back the erroroneous forms did not delete. Had to manually delete a W2 at the end. Other than these things, you folks sure make it easy to do your own taxes. Thanks.
What's great about it: Fairly quick and accurate
What's not so great: Couple bugs with dividing Rental Property Taxes & Interest

Disappointed that all forms were not available for filing. Like residential energy credit.

Overall a great package! A pre starting definition of key IRS terms would be very helpful rather than searching on-line. Maybe direct links to the federal definitions.
The sectional reviews were very helpful.
Have used turbo Tax for the last 6 years and will continue to use well into the future.
What's great about it: Hits all of the required areas and makes you think before entering info.
What's not so great: A definition of terms section would be very helpful prior to starting.

I like that you can import info from last year. This saves a lot of time. I completed both returns in just a couple or hours.

On the Wisconsin Form 1, Line 11, Other Subtractions, I had to enter Long Term Care Insurance cost manually.
Maybe fix that for 2013 version.

Unpleasant Task Made Easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and the product gets more powerful and easier to use each year. What used to take me weeks to complete twenty years ago when my taxes were simple, now takes me less than three hours. And much of that time is spent collecting supporting tax documents. I'll stop short of saying that Turbo Tax makes tax preparation fun--I don't think any product in the universe can do that--but I will say that Turbo Tax makes tax preparation easy.
What's great about it: Automatic data transfer and easy-step process.
What's not so great: No free state e-file.
