What a relief

Being able to step thru the entire tax form and then e-file takes a lot of the worry out of the process.
What's great about it: Questionaire format leads you all the way thru easily

Tax Audit Defense = peace of mind.

I have used TurboTax since it was a DOS program probably about 1976 and I would never use any thing else as they get it right all the time. Tax Audit Defense has saved me from the IRS audits for the past 3 years (IRS lost all three) thanks to the experts at Tax Audit Defense.
What's great about it: Tax Audit Defense is the best money I have spent.
What's not so great: Having to pay for State Tax filing via eFile
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments

Always a Plus

Have been using Turbo Tax for many years now. This year we had more situations to capture then in previous years, i.e. sale of house, stock options exercised and I was wondering if we should get a CPA this time around. I love how Turbo Tax walks you through everything - - had no problems, and learned a bit in the process. I always recommend Turbo Tax - great product.
What's great about it: Easy, lots of helpful tools, accurate (so far after 7+ years), great resources
What's not so great: Wish It's Deductible was a little faster to use.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Quick and Super Easy!

I have been using TurboTax since 2006! Each year it gets easier and easier and the process is so fast that before I know it my taxes are done. The second I get my W-2, I purchase TurboTax and download a copy and do my taxes. I see people scrambling on the news on April 15th to get their taxes done and I just sit back and thank TurboTax because I've already gotten my refund by the time most people are filing! I will be a TurboTax customer for years to come! Thank you TurboTax!
What's great about it: Fast, accurate, easy!
What's not so great: It costs extra to e-file state taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Good product, needs a bit more signposting. Also don't charge for e-filing for a state if you buy the Deluxe package.
What's great about it: Straightforward, easy to correct mistakes
What's not so great: More signposting before hand

Easier than filling out forms

I like Turbotax becsue it makes it easy and quick. Most of the information from the W2 forms and last years address was entered automatically! No need for a calculator either. Turbotax calculated everyhing automatically.
What's great about it: W2 information and last years information automatically entered
What's not so great: Sometimes not sure of other options, eg standard deduction

Retirement brings another meaning to filing your taxes both for the IRS & your state. I've spent many hours trying to complete, this years return & I ended up with the "standard deduction". Maybe this year it will be better.

Get more money back

Not seeing the forms when answering the questions sometimes makes it hard for me to recognize where the info will go and fit into the calculations. But it all seems to work out in the end.
What's great about it: Asks questions about things I may not have thought about
What's not so great: I sometimes can't decide where to put things
