TT is easy to follow.

You should get Richard Hammer's book "Clergy and Church Law Tax Guide" and rewrite the program to cover SE Ministers situations. For example, I received two housing allowances (which requires special handling) and TurboTax had no way I could enter but one of them. Clergy that receive retirement from a qualified not for profit annuity and count some of it as housing allowance, and still have some housing allowance from part-time work will have a problem with TT and I think will be a red flag for audit. Hammer publishes a new book every year to cover the rules affecting Clergy and churches. It would greatly enhance your software.
What's great about it: Easy to use, time saving
What's not so great: Not all questions covered by forms

I have used Turbo Tax since it first came out, and this is a great new edition.
What's great about it: I finally figured out how to handle the required RMD since I turned 70 1/2.
What's not so great: Not fully happy with the new requirements of how to handle the RMD.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

easier each year

Easy to use, old data is great to have so there is little time to needed for basic info. My returns are quite straightforward so I am interested to see if more complicate returns, with capitL GAINS, STOCK TRANSACTIONS, ESTATES AND TRUSTS WILL ALSO BE EASY SINCE NEXT YEAR i WILL HAVE ALL THAT.
What's great about it: historic info added with no effort
What's not so great: can't select eaxct topics to update, like a selection list , without going thru all topics

If I would just quit trying to second guess the system I wouldn't stress so much. Let the system work and it's a breeze.
What's great about it: Very easily walked me through the process.

Turbo Tax walks you right through the whole process. It asks questions for each section of your return so that nothing is missed. Plus there are lots of opportunities to get more info on each topic. If you use it again next year, it will pull your info right over from previous return. It will also connect electronically to financial institutions to pull in info for interest, dividends etc.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None!

Another Smooth Tax Filing Year

We've used Turbo Tax for the past 15+ years and it is a painless process each time. We've had rental properties that we were unsure how to handle, but Turbo Tax made it extermely simple to enter the information. The help screens for additional tax explanations and definitions are extremely simple and helpful.
What's great about it: Intuitive and easy to use

Turbo Tax is good until the review

If you gathered your information all year long, it is not hard to enter it into Turbo Tax. You can use their Easy Guides or do it yourself if you know what you are doing. The Easy Guides goes step by step to help you put in the information needed. The only place I had problems was with one entry that turned up as an error. I had a hard time searching the Help information for what was needed to correct the error, but when I used the online Contact Us, I was able to find it.
What's great about it: I had little problem with entering the data, since I've done my own taxes for many years.
What's not so great: It was very frustrating to get an error and not being able to locate information until I went to Contact Us..
