Excellent can't do without Turbo Tax

My daughter used it for first time and can't understand how anyone would use paper copy, free online filling, or anything other than Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Quick easy, cuts thru the Fed junk.
What's not so great: I didnt ger a refund from Fed this yr

I have used turbo tax for years. I like how thorough the interview is. I have a very difficult tax return and turbo tax leads me through the process in an easily understood way.
What's great about it: Step-by-step interview to make sure you input all required info.
What's not so great: Time consuming

I have used TT for more than a decade. I would hate to do my taxes by hand. TT helps make an incredibly cumbersome tax code manageable.
For some reason, it took me more time to do the taxes this year. TT would be more helpful if the forms that are displayed on the view "forms" setting looked more closely like the forms submitted/printed for the IRS. This would help me make quick/direct comparisons to the previous year's hard copy. The electronic "form" can have windows that open up to work sheets and help windows.
What's great about it: Convenient, thorough
What's not so great: Bulky
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great product. The help fields quickly answer questions.
But when filling out income and deductions, the completion of one category takes one back to the top of the list, not the next category.
What's great about it: easy to use,
What's not so great: a few screens don't flow to the next category

I could not find one of my 1099-R forms, and had to do the math using statements I'd received earlier in the year from the Navy... Also, several of the 1099-Rs had not indicated a taxable amount, and the FAQs did not provide certain assistance there. I could have used someone ALIVE to contact, even on a chat window!
Otherwise, the process was still intimidating, but do-able, as it has been the last dozen years about. I still have stomach aches approaching the process... TurboTax does help, and I still don't need an accountant!

What's great about it: forms were quicker; liked the link-up with last year's return
What's not so great: No live chat feature...at one point, I could have really used that!

Turbo Tax makes the whole process much easier than the old books. This year there were a couple of sections that confused me, being over written, I think. Figured it out, but still go frustrated , sorry cannot remember which section it was. The new medical section was nice, but I must have missed the place to bypass it, thank goodness we don't have that many medical bills. Thought at first maybe they had changed something with medical reimbursement, so I spent a lot of time trying to find they needed info. Was disappointed that I couldn't use it.
Would reccmmend Turbo Tax to anyone.

Suggest have a reminder to gather all forms (w-2's, 1099's) and list of charitable deductions before powering up so the process goes even faster.
