Fits The Bill

Turbo Tax is my choice, because it allows two paths to proceed. One path leads you through the process, question-by-question, with the responses recorded and entered into the forms. The other path allows you to choose the areas you want to review and significantly speeds the calculations. Another handy ability is that last years values are displayed in a column next to this years entries. Also, if the full amount of the entered amount is not fully applied to the calculated taxes, an explanation is provided. Having a running total on top (hopefully green) gives an immediate flag of how things are going.
Several years now, I've wanted to run a 'next year' estimated return. I have been making a 'TEST' return to do that. A separate little side program provided that is NOT submitable, but editable would really be helpful to me. This is not a big deal, as I can work around the task.
What's great about it: The program asks many questions and always keep you on track
What's not so great: I've used T Tax for so many years, I can't think of any cons

I found this years turbo tax to be far easier to navigate than in previous years and it appears to have taken far less time than before to complete.
What's great about it: Much easier to use over last years
What's not so great: A little difficult to add spouses 1099

Fast and Finished

As we age more issues become apparent in our lives but Turbo Tax keeps it simple to use. What a relief when it is completed!
What's great about it: Quick to load and follow

Taxes done!

had a lot of changes this past year (job, sold stock, Roth conversion, status change). Turbo Tax seemed to handle all the changes for me.
What's great about it: fairly fast and easy steps to follow
What's not so great: no refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy as a walk in the park!

Turbo Tax was relatively inexpensive and a quick, convenient way to file my taxes. I did receive a reject for my state e-filing and needed to use customer support ~ live-chat was awesome, directed me exactly where I needed to go ~ and 3 days before filing time, I only waited a few minutes to be connected to a representative!
What's great about it: Enjoyed the convenience of doing taxes on my schedule in the comfort of my own home
What's not so great: limited live support for questions
