Such a great software for accounting types. Looking forward to going to a flat tax filed on a postcard.
What's great about it: After many years using Turbotax, I love the Forms option

Easy File When You Work 16 Hours a Day

Simple and easy to use. Do like the help documents on what one should consider as possible deductions.
What's great about it: Explains all pertinent forms and fields.
What's not so great: Using back key can cause extra reviews of lines already considered.

Generally a good enough program that I've used it for over a decade. The charge for state e filing services is outrageously high and getting higher. Biggest deficiency with the program is the difficulty in going back to correct an error without going through too many unnecessary screens. should be an easier edit.
What's great about it: complete tax program
What's not so great: too expensive to state e file

Stress Less

I've used TurboTax for at least a decade and each year we have itemized our tax return. I have found TurboTax to be easy to use and, I believe, makes sure my wife and I get all of our deductions. I used a similar product one year because it was a little cheaper, and, believe me, there is a difference. I came back to TurboTax the following year and vowed never to stray again. Thanks, TurboTax for being our advocate and making the process as stressless as possible.
What's great about it: user friendly, thorough.
What's not so great: would like more help in choosing the correct product. would like no-cost helpline.

surprised that didn't ask a couple of category questions that had been asked in previous years... like "any more interest payments" and any more "fees"... didn't need the answers, but could carry over some interest??
that having been said, it's a better overall mechanism than any I could create or afford in services... thanks

Have used TURBOTAX for the last few years and can't imagine doing my taxes without it! However after using both the online and downloaded versions I wouild definitely recommend the downloaded version. Trying to file an ammended return from the online version was a bit of a headache.
What's great about it: very user friendly and LOVE the error checks
What's not so great: software can be slow to update
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Taxes Done!!!

I do feel confident my returns were filed correctly. I liked the double check feature to ensure I didn't forget anything that made my taxed bill a little smaller. It was recommended by a friend that i use this instead of seeing our CPA. I will continue to use this every year and recommend it to family and friends.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate
What's not so great: Some info difficult to understand 100%

Don't recommend TurboTax. This is the second year in a row when at the same place in the process I was sent to the web page after clicking continue. The web page offers no route back to the return except to start over. When I save every after every two clicks, this process stops happening. Very annoying.
