Error-ridden

This year TT decided it didn't like my 1098-T "Box 1and Box 2 cannot both contain values"
Try as I might (e.g., clear both, zero both, re-enter value) TT claimed I was entering a value for both boxes and refused to let me e-file. Now I have to kill a small tree's worth of paper and wait the extra time for a refund. Beware of the sloppy error that will spoil your speedy filing
What's great about it: electronic, keeps last year's info
What's not so great: does not allow correction; shows error where none exists

Purchased a CD version, then tried to use it for California. Followed all instructions, but never got the state software to run. Finally paid extra.
What's great about it: Thorough Federal process
What's not so great: The "one pre-paid state" function doesn't work

For several years now, I have had lack of success e-filing through TurboTax. I've received no guidance as to how to correct this. It has happened again this year.
No need to reply, I am done with you guys. You have lost a customer.

Each year this program gets easier to use. Simple interface that is easy to follow.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything.
What's not so great: No refund this year. :)

Keep up the great work! Never thought I'd be able to file my own taxes, but have done this for the last 3 years due to your program. It is easier than closing on a home loan! Maybe you guys should do that too!

Most excellent program written to help do taxes

This is a 5/5 program. It is user friendly, has excellent help menus, and does what is asked of it.. to get the most refund possible according to law. Ive used this product now going on 6 years and always am satisfied with the result.
What's great about it: Ease of use when answering questions
What's not so great: Reviewing the materials is sometimes tedious
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
