Turbo Tax - Why Not!!?

I have been a Turbo Tax user for 8+ years. The ease of use makes it a no-brainer for me to return to it every year! I recommend it to all of my friends - I said it is so easy a monkey could do my taxes!
What's great about it: Step by step instructions

Get The Most

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years now... I used to pay a tax accounted hundreds of dollars before Turbo Tax... One year after having my taxes done by an acountant, my son introduced me to turbo tax and we ran my taxes again using Turbo Tax and come to the same conclusion... The following year,I did my own taxes using Turbo Tax and have been doing them myself ever since and saving the cost of having them done by an accountant.

Depend on Turbotax every year

I've relied on Turbotax for several years now and we've saved lots of money not having to go to an agency. We itemize, have business expenses and have to fill out a schedule C. Turbotax handles all of this well. I like being able to switch between seeing the actual forms filled out and the step by step instructions that collect your information. I especially like the year over year comparison showing what I entered the year before and having information pre-filled from the prior year! For a simple standard deduction return it is a snap! I can do my mother's taxes in less than half an hour using Turbotax!
What's great about it: Turbotax saves me money every year
What's not so great: I don't like going through the same q&a screens when I revisit a section already entered.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It would be worthwhile to include a short explanation of how modified input data effects the program. Where does the program recalculate from ? Also, explain the difference between entering '0' for an input or leaving the line blank. Does Turbo Tax file a form if all the lines are left blank ? A short explanation of where certain data goes would also be appreciated, e.g., stock cap gains here, mutual cap gains here. Also, direct home office expenses here and general business expenses here. This info could all be compiled up front in a tutorial before the filer gets to the specific entry points.
What's great about it: Walk-through of data inputs is good.
What's not so great: Some data needed to be entered numerous times when reviewing.

My mind is at ease!

This year, I had to deal with the settlement of my mother's estate. (She passed over in 2011.) However, once I received the appropriate forms from the estate's executor and CPA, it was straight-forward to enter the data into Turbo Tax.
I have used Turbo Tax for several years, now; and continue to place my confidence in this product and the people behind it. For something as important as my tax obligation, I am putting my trust in this product as each year my financial status seems more complex; yet, Turbo Tax seems to handle with ease what is mind-boggling to me! Without this product, I would turn over this job to a CPA. I prefer to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Thorough and efficient process.
What's not so great: Requires a high level of trust.
