Phew! I'm done

It's nice when you use TurboTax in consecutive years because it can input previous years' information and save time. I definitely recommend TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: While it checks every detail, sometimes when things don't apply it becomes tedious

Trouble for the first time

I have been a Turbo Tax user from the very beginning and have always loved it and recommend it to everyone. Even my firm's CPA says I should stick with Turbo Tax. But, this year I was not able to e-file and that was very frustrating.
What's great about it: The new version this year was very user friendly and I was able to complete the job quickly
What's not so great: I was not able to efile my return for the first time in years

I was able to do my taxes, both federal and state in a quarter of the time it used to take using the books.

easy peasy

such an easy product to use -- download, install, fill in, file. DONE.
What's great about it: super easy to use
What's not so great: some things still hard to understand (like business expenses)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Make a complicated task easy!

Overall an easy process. I love being able to import brokerage info without having to key in multiple transactions. However, I wish I could print out a list of the imported stock transactions for review without having to scroll through endless listings on the screen.
What's great about it: Easy Calculations
What's not so great: Couldn't print a copy of my broker transactions

I hate plunking down the money on the front end for Turbo Tax, but it is always well, well worth it. The importing of data both from previous years and from Fed to State forms saves a lot of time. I like the deduction tool that lets me input the items I've donated and gives me a value. I like that it is pretty easily navigated and most of the questions are straightforward (and in everyday English). Honestly, this year felt easier than ever.
What's great about it: Much of my information was imported for me, so it went quickly. Questions were straightforward. Easy to navigate.
What's not so great: Very minimal cons. Imported childcare names but not EIN numbers from last year.

I find it easier to go back and forth from the interviews to the forms mode.
What's great about it: Love transferring info from financials!
