I've used Turbo Tax for 10+ years and have always found it simple to use. Each year it seems to be more user friendly. My only problem is making sure that I have all my tax data together before I start using the software. I have quite a collection of old Turbo Tax software. I could start a museum.
What's great about it: Easy once I had my information in order.
What's not so great: Only difficulty was in assembling the data to enter.

Quick and easy

As I stated in the con section the product made filing my taxes easier and was quick and to the point in all sections. The ability to skip over areas that didn't apply to me took a lot of time and frustration out of filing my taxes. Every thing was clear and to the point making for an easier filing. I have been using TurboTax for years and have and would recommend it to anyone.
What's great about it: The text and guidance through out the process was easy understood ..I really liked the chance to review the entries
What's not so great: Not sure if I know of any.

I have used Turbo Tax for about 20 years. My daughter is a CPA and I still do my own taxes. After the first year all your information is stored and you only have to tell it to retrieve. I find it best to name your tax files something you want and not the recommended name. The only issue I have is that part of my and my spouse's income is not taxed at the state level and there is a hard transition for Turbo Tax. I always have to go back and search for where to 'fix' it. Also, hard to pull up older files.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use, step by step is the best
What's not so great: Hard to make it understand income that is Federally taxed but not Alabama taxed.

This was my 1st experience with Turbo Tax. We have a pretty normal return, one house, two dependents, two incomes, so it was pretty straight forward. I was happy with the ease of use, and I can say I feel pretty confident I did it correctly.
What's great about it: Easy step by step process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I Love Turbo Tax Every Year

Each year, I dread thinking about tax returns. When I finally fire up my copy of TurboTax, the dread is gone because TurboTax is so easy to use. The directions are clear and detailed. The calculations are guaranteed. The program always asks the right questions so that I get every deduction possible. I highly recommend TurboTax!

Excellent tracking of rental and schedule c depreciation schedules from year to year. Handy imports of some w-2 and other financial partners. Review of details for some areas already completed require a complete revisit and re-entry of answers.
What's great about it: year to year tracking is excellent
What's not so great: education deductions and 1099-Q steps are confusing

Over all, I trust Turbo Tax to give me the right information I need to complete my returns on time and accurately.
What's great about it: You have the option to go the easy route or do an individual peice by peice item check.
What's not so great: You can't save and go directly back to where you left off. You have to pay for filing your state.

Using TurboTax

TurboTax walks you through each step and makes suggestions when you may not have thought of them. It checks to be sure everything was done properly and takes you back to where errors have occured.
What's great about it: Ease of walking through, checking for errors, checking for possible deductions
