Quick & Painless

I always wait until the last minutes because I'm not as organized as I should be and worry that it will take forever. Since TurboTax tells you what paperwork you will be needed, you're ready for the next step. If you don't have it, you can always go back.
What's great about it: Walks you through it so you don't forget anything
What's not so great: Don't always understand the title of deduction

Have used Turbo Tax for years and have never had any issues. Fast and accurate!

My Slip

I misplaced the Medicare Part B by placing it on the tax withheld line. The Federal Refund was unconcievably high for the income level for this return.
All calculations for this error were correct, the results just didn't fit.
What's great about it: Thoroughly Checks Computations
What's not so great: Did not recognize that Medicare Part B deduction was misplaced.

Always the Easiest

Been using for at least 15 years. Recommend it to several people every year. Thanks for a great product. Simple but complete.
What's great about it: Ease of use and asks you all the questions
What's not so great: On deductions itemizations needs other cathgory to type in things you donated that are not listed.

I had free E-file and it was too complicated to use. Instructions were confusing.--Review had a glitch.--The printing process is horrendous. All I need is to print two copies and be done. This has been a problem for years.

No problem returns

The forms and instructions for Turbo Tax are very easy to follow. Had no problems completing my returns although it took a little longer than expected. Probably more because I'm using a new computer I just purchased this week and I'm not used to it yet.
What's great about it: Easy instructions
What's not so great: took longer than expected
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
