Yippee! Done filing my Taxes for 2013

If you have all your documents in order, filling taxes on Turbo Taxes is great and easy to do. Just do the step to step process and anyone can file taxes. Always make sure you review your documents to the return before filing.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax makes filing taxes less painless.

I have a pretty complex return and was able to get through it. I was able to automatically download my brokerage transactions which was a big help. Wish it was easier to get support. Ended up guessing on my K-1 as the guided questions were not the same information that I received from the company that sent me the K-1.
What's great about it: Second year using this and didn't find any obvious hiccups.
What's not so great: Had some difficulty with my K-1

Fair Taxes

Dealing with the 1099-misc. form is very confusing & time consuming when you don't really "own a business". This is probably more of an IRS issue tha a turbo tax issue but it used to be easier to enter that info.
What's great about it: For the most part it was easy to navigate
What's not so great: 1099-misc. very confusing; wouldn't send return unitl a line that I was told to leave blank had something entered on it.

Easiest tax experience!

We used to use an accountant. I eventually realized that by the time I'd collected all the information for him, I'd done most of the real work! TurboTax guides you through the whole process, so really you're just entering the information that you have on hand anyhow. We've saved so much money by not paying those yearly accountant fees! It's a great product.
