Our reliable Tax friend!!!

We have been using turbotax ever since it came out years ago. We tried other products, a couple of times, to see if anything out there was better. In the end we regretted the change and ended going back to good old turbotax.
It is like having a friendly tax consultant in your computer. The instructions are clean and in layman's terms. Doesn't confuse you. The checks on your tax forms are reliable and we have never had a problem. Much easier than waiting in line at a tax office. Fan for many years.
What's great about it: Easy interface. Full of information. Never feel lost or confused.
What's not so great: None that I have found.

2012 Taxes

Filing is so easy. My only complaint is that i bought the disc this year thinking i was saving money and found out i should have simply used the online system. I had to re-enter all my info as i couldn't combine the disc with what is saved on line from last year ... I will buy online next year for sure. Turbo Tax was a great idea and i am a very satisfied customer.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Can't use the disc with my online filing from last year.

The options are limited when printing the final return. I don't need a lot of the paper when I want a copy for my files. I keep a pdf copy anyway. I just want a basic copy of the forms on paper, not all of additonal stuff.
The printing process is wasteful in some cases, eg. the 1040-ES Payment Vouchers each print on a seperate page, even though three could be printed on one page.
When doing the final processing to e-file, an error was found and reported as an incorrect zip code for one of the charity addresses. It wasn't the zip code but I had selected AK instead of AR for the state, yet the only option given to correct was to change the zip. I finally managed to change it by going to forms and changing it there. In the case of a zip code error, the option of changing either the zip or the state should be given.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Limited options when printing, difficult to make changes when final (just before e-file) review finds problem

Was so afraid to do our tax returns myself, but Turbo Tax made it so easy.. I am so relieved that they are done. Thank you Turbo Tax for taking that burden off my shoulders!!!

I've been using TurboTax since 1999. I've always been able to start the program, enter the data and send, without any problems. Everything is saved from the previous year, so entering the current information is simple and quick. I will never use any other program.

Use to take days reviewing tax information. Turbo Tax takes that away. It has taken away the drudgery of filing yearly taxes.
