easy as pie

The program was easy to understand and to follow. The process was much quicker than if I would have done it myself. The explanations made things easier to locate what I needed to fill in the blanks.
What's great about it: step by step, held my hand, easy to go back to review

I've been using TurboTax for longer than I can remember. It meets my needs in an easy to follow format.
What's great about it: Easy to Use. Keeps track of history.
What's not so great: None.

Could not file electronically

There is an error showing up on my K-1 that is actually not an error. Can't just override...TurboTax would not let me e-file with the supposed error. Filed by mail and will not use Turbo Tax next year. Whatever happened to taxpayers be responsible for filing returns? Really? Your programmers now determine who can file electronically?

2012 TurvoTax evaluation

Excellent. Works well, switched views to forms and back to step-by-step - very useful.
What's great about it: Excellent. Uses data saved from previous year to start.
What's not so great: AFTER final checks during filing problem was found with Box 10 of W-2 -had to change 0.00 to blank. Should catch earlier

Not as good as it was...

I have used TT for many, many years. The file types cannot be imported from prev years if you're switching bet a mac and PC. That caused a LOT of retyping.
I had to type in Sch K FORM to get data in right place. Front end guide could not get me where I needed to go.
Home Office credit was hard to get through. It kept adding in my car and I kept removing it - finally went into forms and deleted the car form.
Seems much harder to use then back in the day.

What's great about it: printing to save for records, and printing to mail
What's not so great: Did not import all info so had to type a lot in. Sch K was confusing. Home office kept deducting car but don't use one

Easiest Taxation w/ Representation

Just the easiest plan in completing something that was always a daunting task and I have used Turbo Tax for 9 years and I am extremely happy with it. have also recommended this product to many others who have also found it is simple and effective for the time involved

I've used TurboTax for at least 15 years and continue to be satisfied with the product. If I was not, I wouldn't continue to use it! It imports information with no problem and is easy to use.

Why I use TurboTax

Makes doing taxes as painless as possible (up to the part where you have to write the check). Picks up subtleties such as taxes on dividends by ESOPs and foreign tax credits vs. deductions. A great program and great stress reducer.
What's great about it: Picks up on subtleties. Is thorough looking for deductions and recording income.
What's not so great: None -- I have been using for years now
