I love TurboTax, because I begin to understand the process and what I need to do to be a better business and home owener/manager. However, it would be nice if the K1's from TurboTax Business could be imported into the Fed Deluxe Turbotax, so that all the info would be consistent and save time for the users. Also, the State Returns have many terms and items that need better explanation, especially to a novice like myself.
What's great about it: Federal Returns are easy to understand. State tax has terms that are not clear or defined
What's not so great: K1 from TurboTax Business cannot be imported into the Federal TurboTax Deluxe.

Gets the job done!

Turbo Tax is an amazing software. It allows you to get your taxes done quickly and with the maximum rebate. I can't think of anything else that comes close to Turbo Tax. I recommend it to everyone I know!
What's great about it: Easy, quick, efficient - what taxes should be!
What's not so great: None - even the updates were simple and fast

Third tax return made easy by TurboTax

Best program of class to do multiple tax returns year after year. Best of all it keeps all tax returns within my family in sync, respecting the relationships that are represented and handling the respective returns correctly.
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to jump to specific topic or form
What's not so great: Some tip information is not made to be more easy to understand
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Simplier than using paper forms. Still I get questions that puzzled me and made me wished that there was more guidance. Used the help features and Turbotax community which was very helpful except when there were only questions and no one have yet provided an answer.
What's great about it: I like that all calculations are done automatically
What's not so great: When asked a question that I wouldn't know

I have used turbo tax for as long as I can remember.My kids and grandkids also use it.I trained them well LOL!!!!!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Darned Good Tool

Since first time I used Turbo Tax, I have not done my taxes without it. I have always done my taxes myself and this tool has made that much easier. It has also provided a fantastically easy way to store and file records. The ability to populate forms for a new year's return is a plus. It would be helpful to have a "what if" computer to use in determining effects of entries while filling out the current return or acquiring an estimate of quarterly payments for the following year. The quarterly estimates for the following year is too restricted. Planned or possible effects of changes to income from such things as income variables, IRA conversions and purchases, variable oil lease income, etc. are not able to be projected; thus, the estimated payments are not accurate for following year. Overall, would rather enjoy this " Bowl of Cheeries" rather than suffer "Sour Grapes" mushing through tax reference books and manual preparatioin of my annual tax obligations. Capitalism at its best: a desirable product at a reasonable cost! Use it.
What's great about it: Easy, good records from prior years that jog memory, people friendly entries
What's not so great: Payment estimates can not be adjusted for anticipated changes to future income, no "what if" calculator.
