Very easy to follow & process. Only issue was changing from from the federal to state filing...had to close & restart to get the state process to work.

Excellent Program!

First year I have done my taxes on my own for many years. Lost my tax preparer and thought it would be hard to get my taxes done. Not to mention costing a lot of money. Bought Turbo Tax Deluxe and got them done in a couple of hours with great results.
What's great about it: Extremely intuitive. Know what to ask to get you the most on your return.
What's not so great: They don't t tell you it cost to e-file the state form. You think you are getting a free efile for the cost but not.

I liked the program. I think it covers everything needed for filing personal income taxes.
What's great about it: easy to understand

Since my Tax Accountant is always able to save me more money than TurboTax does, I use TurboTax as a reliable estimate, but then it may be because my accountant always computes our taxes separately, and I only use TurboTax jointly to simplify my entry of data.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, and very thorough.
What's not so great: Doesn't know about STRS, or my bank's accounts

I've used other tax software and always come back to TurboTax for the ease and security of getting things done right.
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to update, easy to file, print and save forms. Good help and instructions.
What's not so great: None

Relief getting taxes done!

Everything went splendidly, except when it came time to download the MN state forms. For some reason it kept taking me back to the state start page, even after downloading everything I needed and being connected to the internet. Eventually I got it, after I turned the computer off (after saving what I had done) and tried again. Whew!
What's great about it: Detailed quesstions - you don't overlook anything!
What's not so great: RV - taxes (personal property tax/interest) hard to find.

Easy to do

Considering how complicated the government is, Turbo tax has made this process very easy. As long as you have all of your documents, it takes only a few hours to put together your tax returns for the year. Yippee, I'm done for another year.
What's great about it: step by step, easy to understand
What's not so great: having to do it at all

Not as good as previous year's

In previous years, it has asked me things like, "Did you buy a house?" or "Did you have a child this year?" and this time, it didn't ask these important questions. Therefore, I'm not convinced we filled things out correctly this year. It seems like they also dropped bubble help in favor of forum-style help which doesn't necessarily have all the answers, and I'm not convinced all the answers in the forum are even correct or thorough.
What's great about it: Interview-style, covers a lot of items and deductions
What's not so great: Doesn't have enough Interview-style questions
