This is my second year using Turbo-tax and I'll continue using it in the future.
What's great about it: Any dumby can file income tax using Turbo-tax, it's easy

Needs a little tweaking but still good

I've been using Turbo Tax for more than a decade. For the most part, it's never let me down, but does have its limitations with complicated matters. I do have to check entries though because sometimes questions can be a little misleading (such as "enter meal expenses here"...with a note saying you can only deduct 50%, so which do I enter "here"? The whole amount or 50% of that?) Also, the state form tried to apply another state's unemployment to that state instead of my state, which is where the income should have been applied. All in all, TT makes life so much easier, you just have to pay attenion, have some tax knowledge (or read up on your situations) and make sure the correct info is going in the right place. . Overall I highly recommend it! In fact, I'd say I couldn't function without it!
What's great about it: Really nice to transfer so much info from last year and keep track of assets, etc
What's not so great: Some external imports needed correction and the states didn't go so smoothly this year

Tax preparation like a Pro!

Turbotax takes the pain out of our yearly tax filing. I've used it for years with positive results. I sleep at night knowing I took every legal deduction possible while meeting my legal tax obligations.
I recommend Turbotax for anyone who can read and analyze how to reduce tax liabilities without CPA tax speak.
What's great about it: Fast, simple, easy format. Help is a short click away.
What's not so great: None that I've found. I've used Turbotax for years.

You just need to read all and check out all of the program. I really like it, but you do have to read what is going on.
What's great about it: most of the time it is very easy to follow step by step!
What's not so great: I did not relize I had not e-filed, how to go back and see why. This was the second time. Need more info!

I've been using TurboTax for several years. It's nice to bring forward last year's information and data to edit this year. e-filing for free is great too. Try it and you'll like it.
What's great about it: convenience of bringing last year's data forward to 2012

Very easy to use. Software is straightforward. Saved me about 200 dollars versus what I have been paying to have my taxes prepared.
What's great about it: You can enter items through a guided tutorial, or you have the option to go just to the locations you need to enter.
What's not so great: Addtional cost for state efile.

I have relied on TT since it first was developed as a Fed only program and I had to write my own State calc spreadsheet. As mentioned in the Cons, sometimes the navigation is tricky, when you know where you want to put an amount and you have to go to a separate worksheet. Otherwise it covers so many complicated tax rules, that when even if you are a professional, you have a "REALLY?", moment now and again.
Wish you would give a better price on a second State program when needed.

What's great about it: Guides even the misguided
What's not so great: Sometimes navigation a bit tricky, but I've used TT for 20+ yrs so manage.
