turbo tax

Turbo tax is easy to use and I have used it for many years. I wish the price was a bit lower however. Thanks!

EasyGuide TurboTax

My experience with TurboTax has been close to two decades. I am very please through the years using TurboTax product because it starts by electronically bringing last years data forward as a guide, but more importantly it has much of the detailed information available (I.e. investment firms, address information, account numbers, personal info, etc.). Another great help is to electronically download W-2 information from employer's data files. When I use the product, I am very pleased with the Easy Guide approach because the software takes me step by step through the possible income and then through the deductions. Income is any payment of funds to you from employment, savings, investing or disability while deductions are withholdings, taxes and charitable donations. The Easy Guide process brings up special situations that you may not know about that can help provide a deduction to lower your taxes.
Working on income tax is made easy when you use TurboTax!

I just love it. It found errors I had made, and went right to them, and corrected them real time. Excellent progress.
What's great about it: ease of use.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good, but need more info

I don't want to have to enter all info, like child tax credit and education credits only to be told we don't qualify. And the program doesn't tell me specifically why I don't qualify. If I were given the income limits up front, I would know whether I should bother to enter the info.
What's great about it: Excellent at going line by line to see what info I need to enter
What's not so great: Need more info on income limits for deductions.

My Refund rocked

We have used Turbo Tax for several years and are very pleased with the ability to do our taxes ourselves and know what is involved and included in our taxes. We had previously used a CPA for several years and through using Turbo Tax we find we are much more informed. Turbo Tax is very detailed, answers most of our questions, and is easy to use. I also do my mothers taxes on Turbo Tax and find this helps her understand more fully the process involved. We Are A Turbo Tax Family!!

Another Winner

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years. The ability to obtain the package that best fits my tax reporting needs was important. From owning a business to having to report income in two states. Turbo Tax was most adaptable to the situation. Each year of use has become easier, but most importantly most informative as Turbo Tax works through all the options available to a person. Most were considered, however, there were a few that were not on the radar.
What's great about it: The ease of use and ability to error check along the way
What's not so great: error entry correction, especially when trying to eliminate the mistaken entry
