So Dependable

The ease of use is just plain excellent. Anyone (a professional or a student new to the tax world) can prepare a return or extension within a short time. I especially enjoy being able to see my return exactly as it will print before I have to waste any ink. I have been preparing returns for family for over 20 years and Turbo is the only way to go!!! Plus, I've never been given even half- effort customer service.

What's great about it: Thorough Step through process or just use Forms!
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

I like that it catches things that I had not considered, with my mother in laws age being over 70 1/2 that helps a lot

I've done my own taxes for 40 years and this my first with TurboTax.
Definitely easy to use and I missed a few deductions that TurboTax caught for me. The savings there paid for the program and then some.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: multi states get expensive

I've used TT since 1994. I use it and recommend it widely. The one thing I would like is to be able to see how values flow. I need this to make sure that I've entered everything correctly and that complex situations (e.g. depletion, royalties, K-1s) are handled correctly. I look carefully thru the forms section to make sure I understand everything.
I would like to be able to click on a line in a form and see where that value came from. I also want to know why TT makes the choices it makes. E.g. if I enter a value and I don't see it propagate to where I think it should go, I'd like to see the worksheet where TT makes its decision. For example, this year I had depletion credits. I thought they should flow to schedule E, but TT decided they were passive income and were limited (to zero). There was no way I could see WHY TT made this choice. It took hours of digging thru IRS docs to figure it out.
I know that sometimes clicking on a value will take me to a worksheet, but not all the time and not nearly often enough.
I know this will take some programming work, but it would be so valuable for those of us who have complex returns.
thank you for the great job you have done with TT, I'm looking forward to it being even better.
PS I use the Mac version.
What's great about it: all the forms are there, handles K-1s (mostly)
What's not so great: Doesn't show me how the numbers flow

Great way to do your taxes in the comfort of your home. Been using for about 10 years and love it. Always improving from year to year. Very affordable no CPA needed save about 350.00

I used Turbo for many years now and they are very easy to use and makes this process very fun if you can do that during this time of the year.
What's great about it: I liked the details and help Turbo delivered
What's not so great: no problems
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
