I have had problems in the past E-filing with Turbo Tax. I E-filed and asked to charge my checking account. Because I filed on the weekend, the communication between my account and E-filing was not completed in the right order and I was not informed. I ended up re-submitting my taxes late after I received a notification in the mail. There should be more clear warnings or instructions to prevent this from happening.
Otherwise, the program is very clear and the explanations are great. Felt good about what I filed. Additionally, I really like the option to purchase audit protection, great feature.
What's great about it: It was quick, the "More Info" was helpful in understanding if a credit/deduction applied to me
What's not so great: Didn't understand why some credits and deductions affected my return so much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

If only paying was this easy...

TurboTax makes filing taxes easy. Software works as advertised, easy to install, and provides clear assistance and guidance for any questions / issues.
Problems? Can get pricey, especially if you have to file in more than one state.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; bug-free
What's not so great: pricey

I love using Turbotax every year. It is quick & easy to use. I have no problem getting my taxes filled out correctly.

Easy, profit and loss section needed work

I like the download. If you have a personal business you may have to spend more time in doing your taxes then handing it over to someone to do them for you... But it does make you go back every time and the program helps you out where you need to fill in the blanks you missed. You may not understand some of it though.
What's great about it: everything is downloaded and e-filing, state done for you
What's not so great: if your new at this some things need more explaining on the form

Under the wire

I have used this product 3 times now and I'm quite satisfied with the results I had. There are places that I feel improvements could be made however. Some of the explanations are not as detailed as they might be especially for new users or tax dummies. Another area that could be refined is the print options. Instead of printing all of the forms whether they have information or not, modify the options to print only forms that actually have data submitted during the return compilation. Save the trees and ink.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax does a good job of getting a return completed and a good refund when one is do.
What's not so great: Some of the explanation are not as explicite/complete as they could be, especially for new users.

Turbo Tax Experience

My overall review of Turbotax from the past four (4) years of using the software is I would like more questions to extend my dedutions. I itemize my dedutions to get the best bang for my buck and I'm always having to spend a great deal of time finding were to add those deductions were the software fails. I do not know, based on privacy issues, if more in depth questions could be added but it would help me in getting my best deductions for I seem to pay uncle sam more each year.

quick painless tax process

We have a lot of charity deductions with mileage. Turbotax makes this easy. Beats doing it paper and pencil.

Easy Peasy!

I like how TurboTax walks me through every step of the return and 'guides' me throughout the whole process. When there is something I don't quite understand there are helps along the way. TurboTax takes a complicated process and makes it fairly simple.
What's great about it: TurboTax is great in that it walks you through everything
