Easy step by step - so reassuring

Almost Painless, as usual

As usual, TurboTax makes preparing and filing fairly painless. The painful part is the tax code, not TurboTax's fault. I still recommend a manual review of the return to make sure the numbers make sense. I usually catch something that needs to be changed. Overall, TurboTax has been, and remains, the best.
What's great about it: Don't have to know the idiosyncrasies of the tax law; transffer from previous year, free federal e-file
What's not so great: no free state e-file

Reliable software

I've been using TurboTax for many years and enjoy the reliability of the product. Reliability in product quality means you get what you pay for and what you expect!
What's great about it: Familiar process, walks you through all the income and deduction items
What's not so great: I wish it was easier to download last year's return by obtaining a copy from Turbo Tax

Suggestion-- For personal property taxes, change the program so that each item of personal property is identified, similar to how charitable contributions are listed.
