I have used Turbo Tax for the last 20 years and it is great.
What's great about it: Very easy to use as you go thru all of the screens and it brings last years data in for the current year.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My 2013 Tax Adventure

I have used your product for years and will continue to do so...
This year the HSA area was confusing and required me to get answers outside of the product.
I also had a 1098-C to enter that I almost missed. Not sure where I went wrong.
When I entered the form number 1098 it didn't seem to work. I think I finally entered 1098-C (Capital C) then it found what I wanted. From there I think it sent me back thru the dedections again. I don't recall all the details.
Bottom line I finished and sent my returns via e-file. Can't get any better than that!!!

What's great about it: The questions to lead me to the next screen or away from screens I didn't need to read. Overall it was great!!!

I find it offensive that being on unemployment that I would have to pay taxes on my unemployment. I was looking for deductions to go against those taxes, buy I couldn't get find any place to find them. I thought the search would give me deductions. Maybe I just missed it! :(
What's great about it: Made it fun...sort of since I owed this year...
What's not so great: none really.

I think you should not have eliminated the method by which you could save the year's return together with the TurboTax software together on one CD/DVD.

Simplifies the Complicated

We use the Deluxe version. We own an apartment building, but are not involved enough to have to use the Premier version but do need the Deluxe. This covers all our needs and answers all questions. It explains everything with just a click of the mouse. We have been using this version for 15 years. It has helped us find deductions that we did not know we were eligible for. It explains deductions so that I know we are claiming correctly.
What's great about it: TurboTax allows you the comfort of knowing you covered all the details you need.

Never disappoints

I’ve been using TurboTax for at least 5 years and it keeps getting better. Their instructions are clear and the help menus continues to improve year after year – it is clear they are listening – thank you!

What's not so great: should learn from previous years about forms not needed
