Highly recommend!!

I love using turbo tax and have used it for the last 5 years. I can't imagine trying to decipher the government's descriptions of ech item on the return. I have recommended turbo tax to many of my friends.

If you want to E-file the Fed and File by Mail the state you have a very circuitous route to accomplish this. Also the Print for Your Files function sometimes will only print the first page or will print pages with thick black lines across them. Previous years edition worked great.
What's great about it: Continues to be excellent
What's not so great: print function is cumbersome and has bugs

Nice software, lousy support, and very frustrating

I have used turbotax off and on over the years. When it is good, it is very good. But when it is bad it is extremely frustrating. For a number of weeks, the program said I had to wait for new forms, even after the IRS made the forms available and said you could file a return. I never thought I would say this, but the IRS provides better support than turbotax. Finally had to re-install on a completely different computer to file my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to input data, easy to follow, great interface
What's not so great: terrible upload process, lousy customer support

I love TurboTax. I did my taxes in about an hour. It's very easy to follow along and put in all the information. I go to college and only had one job, so there wasn't a lot that I had to do. I had three pieces to input and then followed with my college deductions and I love the amount I'm getting back. I qualified for some really nice deductions from college that I probably wouldn't have known about. Overall, I absolutely love this program.
What's great about it: Very quick and easy

Hard to understand mailing and print form records

I was unable to download my information from 2011 Turbo tax. Why? E-mail Federal Returns Ok, but wanted to mail state becasue I owe money. Very diffecult to understand mailing State returns. Tried to find out why the State return is asking me to mail a 1099 S. Was not able to print a copy of my returns for my records.
What's great about it: E-file for Federal returns was ok,
What's not so great: Wanted to mail my State Returns. Dificult to understand what to mail and do I send copy Federal Returns with the State?
