Great Job Turbo Tax!

My late husband used Turbo Tax to complete our taxes each year, and I have been using it as well for the past ten years. It is easy to use, and I like the step by step walk through to help me understand what I need to enter. i don't think I would have been able to handle taxes myself without it. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is user friendly and easily understandable.
What's not so great: Maybe give a list up front of documents you might need to complete the information.

While i have been a faithful user of Turbotax for several years, I am never quite sure that i have taken all the deductions allowed and thus maximized my return. I believe that i have taken the obvious deductions and most likely met the standard of reasonablness in my return. I have never been audited with a Turbotax return which is a very acceptable standard.
What's great about it: Easy to use with detailed queries
What's not so great: Still requires you to know something about tax law

Helped the Family

We have parents in nursing homes and parents who no longer have the ability to care for paperwork or finances. Turbo Tax makes it relatively easy to gather all of their information and file tax returns for them. It takes a great burden off of them.
What's great about it: Ability to do tax returns for the elderly in my family with relative ease

I've been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years and intend to continue using in the foreseeable future. My experience is that it is a very helpful tool to walk me through the bewildering tax code that we have. I use Easy Steps to handle most of our tax preparation but also do some exploring on my own with atypical situations. Generally I have found the Help function useful in understanding how to handle these situations. My only complaint is the Help can be overly inclusive so it can take time to find the appropriate citation I need.
What's great about it: Easy Step a simple and comprehensive way to walk through tax preparation. TTax provides confidence.
What's not so great: Some atypical situations can be challenging

We have been paying others to do our taxes for a long time and now with Turbotax we see how easy it really is and we are no longer intimidated by the process
