Why Didn't I Do My Taxes Earlier?

What's great about it: Having info from previous year to compare with current year.
What's not so great: When going back to i.e. deductions, I don't know if I missed anything going forward to where I left off.

Step by step, fill in the blank format, with easy access to the actual forms. More in-depth explanations are available for complex topics, but it simplifies the process so users don't get bogged down with info overload.
What's great about it: Truly Turbo...fast, easy, reliable

Should be able to transfer previous relevant information from prior year such as name address. In addition list areas that were used in prior year as prompt for current year. List banks from prior year. Should make available comparison of current year to prior year return by item.
The keying in of stock transactions is tedious and subject to errors. e-transfer of stock data would be great!
HSA is confusing and should be more friendly in explanation.

Roth Needs Work

Two areas of discontent:
1. The Roth withdrawal and taxation sequence is poorly structured. The sequence is not logical. You are not determining the Roth history first. Does the process follow the IRS rules?
2. When entering credit card data for e-filing charges, it appears that you are using a non-secure third party operation. The sub-window for this process looks like a hackers' "phishing" operation; not a TurboTax operation using "https". When asking for a password reset, I received a PIN; but the sub-window did not ask for a PIN.

I have used Turbo tax for many years. I am impressed and always use this tax preparation each year. As an "average joe" just trying to get it done, Turbo tax is the best!
What's great about it: I appreciate the prompts and reviews.
What's not so great: You need a faster way to talk to a turbo tax person.
