Much improved & educational for 2013

Last time I used the software, I received a lovely letter from the IRS stating I owed additional money. This year, I was leary about purchasing, but, without a job I decided to take a chance, it had been years. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements with the software and the vast explanations. I actually feel like I learned more and might be able to handle on my own in the near future - a monumental fete as I am tax dumb!
Very impressed with the ability to download tax documents from specific sources which saved time of manual entry as well as ensure the accuracy of nomanclature.
At this point, I would recommend this software for all, unless I have another problem, but, I do not expect one this year!

What's great about it: Great explanations, very thorough this time and able to import many financial sources

I have used TurboTax for over 7 years now and there is not a better tool to make taxes easier to understand. It is user friendly which is what I needed at this time of year.
What's great about it: Easy to understand.
What's not so great: Hard to get back to some previous screens easily.

What's not so great: This is the first year that I needed to go directly to a number of forms to fix errors and omissions.

IT MAKES A DULL JOB MORE INTERESTING. I TRUST THE PROGRAM MORE THAN THE FLIM FLAM FLY BY NIGHT TAX PREPARERS.
What's great about it: I JUST ENTERED WHAT IT ASKED
What's not so great: IT COULD NOT FISH UP MY W2 FROM THE NET

a wonderful tool for the do it yourself tax prepairer !!
The step by step process makes it virtually idiot/mistake proof.
I feel very comfortable that my taxes have been calculated properly and take full advantage of the current tax code.

Easy Guide is an Easy experience

I had difficulty saving and printing a PDF file and forms.
Try to purchase Adobe Acrobrat on line the web site link was not working. I some how was able to print the required forms not support ed by Adobe Acrobrat 8 pro

What's great about it: Very operator friendly
What's not so great: I taught it was expensive software application do my federal income taxes.

We have been using Turbo Tax for several years now. Saves so much over using a preparer and I feel very confident.
What's great about it: walks you through each step
What's not so great: answering the same questions over and over again when reviewing
