What's great about it: The basic simply instructions
What's not so great: I thought the $29.99 filing fee was too high. I paid $50 for the program

Confused

I am overall happy, however, I will have to submit an amended tax return for the energy form. I made extensive improvements on my home and cannot use the deduction. Snail mailing the form is antiquated. There must be a way to eFile the form that will give us the tax break for energy efficient upgrades to our home. Please give me advice on what to do on amending the return. I can be reached at: CartoonistExchange@yahoo.com or by 423-645-0420
Thank you, Timothy S. Miller
What's great about it: Fast and Helpful
What's not so great: Could not process eFile w/energy upgrades to my home

Buggy as heck this year - What happened?
on January 24, 2013

Either it refuses to import the 2011 Turbo Tax file, or it does and cannot display or calculate with it properly. Eventually it was necessary for me to go in and enter the amounts on the 2 year comparison manually. This causes a lot of headache as you are never really sure that the figures are right. Also, poor notification tool for errors. It will reference some obscure IRS form but not give you a path to that form in your return, or more importantly, a suggested work-around or repair. All this caused several hours of extra work for me. Seems someone decided that releasing a buggy version was good enough. I expected better from Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Good organization - some good tools
What's not so great: Very buggy - would not import 2011 Turbo Tax file properly

Ohio State Income tax forms printed with X's covering my name as well as 8's and 0's instead of my income tax information
Federal forms were electronically filed just fine and printed off great as well.
