I found the 2012 TB/Tax more difficult to use than previous years.
The work sheets that pop up have no way for you to get an explanation for question being ask. They come up after the fact and not in order of the return. All other fields have a (get more info) field. Also, the risk meter should track along the entire process instead of the end of the return.
Just a few bugs need to be worked out for maximum ease of use. Even though I found this years program a little more challenging than previous years, I will buy this product again next year.
P.S. Would like to see split screens so you avoid going back so many fields to correct an entry.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and never consider any other way of doing my taxes. It picks up information from the previous year and even from sources that I don't need to go looking for. I highly recommend it.

Easy of use

Overall the use of TurboTax Deluxe was very easy. The step-by-step guide made it very easy to use. It prompted me at each step to, at a minimum, to either think about the deduction. It notes common deduction or non-common as it guides you through the process. Overall a great easy program to use.
What's great about it: The step by step guide made it very easy to file my return
What's not so great: I wish it would help identify additional deductions or give you better recommendations

awesome, awesome, awesome......so easy, the only thing easier would be if Turbo Tax automatically entered your data for you!!! all the calculations are error free, audit flags are reviewed as well as suggestions for areas not previously considered.

Awesome Experience As Usual

I have been using Turbo Tax to file my taxes online or using the CD-Rom for 7 years now and every year I'm amazed at how easy and accurate it is. It seems like they add new features every year even, and when you think it can't get any better...it does. I always get worried when a life changing event happens, buying a home, buying a car, getting married, but each year it has guided me right through it. My returns are always filed easily and accurately and you can't beat e-filing, who needs to spend all that money at one of the tax places? Thanks Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Easy, Guided, In simple terms, Error Check gives peace of mind,
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made It!

Basically, Turbotax gave me very few difficulties this year. I had several complex issues, but eventually they were all ironed out.
The non-requirement of 1099 MISC forms for expenses on rentals needs to be made explicit.
There needs to be an easy way to delete the form for Like-Kind Exchanges. It is too easy to invoke it but very difficult to delete it once one learns that it doesn't apply. That was a headache. When I checked with the Turbotax community I found that MANY other people had the same problem.
Thanks, Turbotax. Most of the work was a breeze -- once I had all of my information at hand.
What's great about it: Covered all the bases of a complex tax situation
What's not so great: Difficult to delete Like-kind Exchange Form when it wasn't needed.

The only complaints I have are minor. Why can't I copy/paste into username/password fields for import? It makes using a password manager a pain.
What's great about it: Ultimately gets it right; carryover from prior years is nice
What's not so great: Can't copy/paste in some cases
