So Easy

We have a pretty straight forward return. Turbo Tax is easy and inexpensive. I can take my time, stop working on my return and pick up right where I left off. I continue to use Turbo Tax year after year. Thanks for making it so easy!
What's great about it: Step by Step instructions to enter information
What's not so great: If errors are found, sometimes it's hard to figure out where the problem lies.

As Always Solid. Still Needs Tax Jargon Reduced.

I suppose I cannot fault Intuit given the complexity of our tax code, but it would be nice (and worthy of 5 stars) if Turbo would remove even more of the tax jargon and put it in as plain english as possible. Also, work out ways to eliminate steps when its clear they don't apply. It gets better every year, but there are always a few where you wonder "why would you ask me that?". On the plus side, its as zippy and easy as ever to finish returns. I had to manage some partial year residency, a severance package, state benefits, and more and it was a snap.
What's great about it: Easy to use, quick, familiar.
What's not so great: Still too much jargon.

Wonderful program

Even though I am an accountant and know the tax laws fairly well, I answer questions filling in information along the way. It allows me to enter all the information in without forgetting anything. I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years and love the program and wouldn't use any other program!
What's great about it: Easy to enter information with way questions are asked
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been using TurboTax for several years now, and I'll probably continue to use them for the foreseeable future. The software is very user friendly, and makes it easy for me to go back and forth if I make a mistake or omit an item.
I like the e-filing option they've recently introduced, even though they charge you for it. It's a little more expensive than filing by certified mail, but far more convenient.
What's great about it: Step by step process, e-filing
What's not so great: a few extra fees snuck in
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
