Takes the Pain out of Filing

The best part about Turbo Tax is that all you need to do is enter the data as it gives you the prompts and the program does the rest. No trying to figure out if you need a specific form, or rechecking your calculations. All that is done for you and more. By using the program you reduce your chances of an audit because the IRS knows there won't be any math errors.
What's great about it: Each year I dread tax time, but Turbo Tax really makes it easy.
What's not so great: It was a little difficult to actually review the forms.

It is great having stacks of paperwork, and countless file folders, in the rear view mirror!
What's great about it: the data import from the previous year; the refund projection box
What's not so great: Not being reminded I will need addresses of charities until I get to the charitable deductions section - always scramble

Peace of Mind

I want my taxes done right! That's why I chose the Turbo Tax Program to file my taxes. I am very pleased with the ease of program with its step by step directions to make sure all of my data is entered and entered correctly. The final checks to make sure my return is correct is very much appreciated for peace of mind. I feel very sure my return is done correctly and I'm getting the best refund or the least amount possible that I have to pay. Satisfaction and ease of mind is why I purchase Turbo Tax each year to complete my taxes.
What's great about it: The ease of data input for filing my taxes. The thoroughness of the tax program to get every deduction allowed.
What's not so great: I can't think of a con to this program

Used TT for all my taxes

I've used Turbo Tax from day one to do my tax returns. Every year it is a little different - not necessarily better but as good. I wouldn't do it any other way. I use the deluxe version and get a free state return and free Federal filing and can play around with what if scenarios so it works for me.
What's great about it: Walks you through so nothing is overlooked
What's not so great: Small business retirement funds are buried under that category

Easy to use

Turbo Tax is really easy to use - easy to follow step-by-step instructions. It is quick - it took less than an hour to complete a joint return including itemized deductions.
What's great about it: easy to use, simple menus
What's not so great: having to load all donated items separately

GO the Extra Mile

Overall, the experience was good. However, though the porgram was guided, the questions needed to be stated more clearly or more of an explanation given. In addition, it would be helpful to be able to view the tax form as it is being filled in to make more sense of the questions.

The program is easy to use. But they should not ask for more money to efile state form. The deduction program is easy to use and is very useful.
