Easy to Prepare

This was my second year of using TurboTax. I find TurboTax to be very user friendly. It guides me step by step through the process from start to finish. Once I click submit I know my tax return is on its way.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Cost of State eFiling

Too Easy

TurboTax is great and it's easy. Your one-stop shop for all your money/tax needs.
What's great about it: Easy guided questions, retrieves payroll information and fills in fields for you, gives tips for ways to save money
What's not so great: Too easy - I think I missed something
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Successful return once again!

Overall, the access to the online help was beneficial, but didn't provide the answers to my question on retirement account withdrawal. I contacted the IRS and got the information necessary to provide the correct information on my return.
What's great about it: The process was painless. The procedures were easy to understand and transfer the financial information to the program.
What's not so great: Additional information needs to be provided for individuals that take withdrawls from retirement accounts.

Wouldn't leave home without it

I have been using Turbo Tax for over ten years, and I would never even consider attempting to file my taxes without it. The ability to import last year's tax info into this year's return is a huge time saver. The auto check for updated tax info is also very nice. The ability to amend returns is greatly facilitated by having the original return electronically accessible and editable. The charitable contribution calculator for determining market-equivalent costs for donated items makes this process almost seamless. I also like the way the program lays out all of the different income and deduction possibilities, not that you will need all of them, but it certainly helps you to think about things you may have overlooked.
What's great about it: Can enter info in guided question format or in form mode; auto review and check
What's not so great: The help search requires exact matches of query terms

Love My refund

Do not like paying to file e-file for state tax refund when the program is free. I can understand if you are filing more than 1 state.
What's great about it: step by step instructions
What's not so great: after finishing 1 area like deduction had to scroll down the part

Big Help

I like how Turbo Tax walked me through every step and I didn't have to read through all the confusing forms. I appreciated the analysis at the end that told if you were at high or low risk for an audit. That especially helped me to know that I had to re-read some information on deductions and place the information in the correct area when filing my taxes.
