It's a good feeling to have our taxes done!

I have been using TurboTax for several years now. I love how it pulls in our information from prior years and shows a continual side by side comparison of the past two years. That often helps me remember to look up and record a deduction I might otherwise have forgotten. TurboTax makes depreciation simple, too. It's helpful to see the difference each deduction makes. I have never wanted to trust our personal financial information to a stranger, and can't imagine going back to doing our taxes with paper forms and a calculator.
What's great about it: I like the ability to enter my own information, review it, and go back and make as many corrections as I need to.
What's not so great: Weeding through a lot of things that don't apply to me.

Maybe Turbo calculated wrong

According to Turbotax I owed $7300 in state taxes. This was due to inaccurate transfer of numbers from my federal return. For some reason the decimal place was ignored and I made 2.4X more than actual.
What's great about it: Easy to use but not reliable calculations
What's not so great: It did not calculate my state tax accurately

Like anything else, garbage in, garbage out. On one W2, didn't know how to enter info properly. Need more knowledge on IRS rules on IRA distributions in order to minimize taxes.

What's not so great: Next Turbo Tax distinguish SSA-1099 (use Explore on Own)

I use it every year it's always easy and fast. Very straight forward all you do is follow it step by step never had a problem. Been using turbo tax for over ten years now and it has saved me the time and money it would take to go have your taxes prepaired. Would recomend to any one who wants to save some time and money doing there taxes by themselves. Nothing to be afraid of turbo tax makes it easy just follow the steps and then your good to go. Great product will be useing again next year.
